About MTC's Summer Day Camps
MTC’s Summer Day Camps are designed to give students performance experience, build a sense of accomplishment, and, most of all, have fun. Each session works with all skill levels. Instruction is provided by artists/teachers and many of the staff are professional performers. Counselors are older high school or college age students who have advanced singing, dance and acting skills.
Stage One, Broadway Rhythm,Encore!, and Summer Show Tunes focus on intruction in the musical theater disciplines. The morning consists of one hour each of acting, singing, and dance lessons, with campers divided by age and skill level, and the afternoons are used to work on the end-of-camp Broadway revue style performance.
Curtain Call campers work on scenes from several different Broadway productions with the focus of improving acting and singing skills.
Broadway Dance concentrates on intensive broadway style dance training along with developing singing skills.
Needs-based financial assistance is available.
