Registration and Payment Policies

Refunds for Classes

  • If you wish to cancel your registration before the first class meets, your tuition will be returned, less a $35.00 administrative fee per class.
  • After the session begins, a request for refund will be honored if the class has only met twice. There will be a charge for the two classes plus a $35.00 administrative fee per class.
  • Once the third class has started, there will be no tuition refunded or credit given except for medical reasons with a doctor's notification. Refunds will be pro-rated from the date MTC receives the doctor's notification. An administrative fee of $35.00 will be charged per class.
  • All refund requests must be in writing. Approved refunds take 6 - 8 weeks and are returned in the same manner in which paid (cash returned by check). Administrative fee is charged per class.

This policy applies solely to classes. There are different refund policies for other MTC activities such as productions, ensembles, workshops, summer camps, etc.

Registration Information

No phone registrations will be taken.
Registration will only be accepted by mail, fax, walk-in and via our internet site.

Enrollment: You will receive registration confirmation via email. If you have not heard from us within a week of sending in the registration, we encourage you to call to make sure we have received it.

Drop in Classes: If you are planning to attend a drop-in class or purchase a dance card, please complete the registration form and send it in so we can plan for the number of expected students, and have your phone number on file if we need to contact you for any reason.

Late Registration: Late registration will be accepted only if space in the class is available. If a student registers aftertwo classes have been held, tuition will be pro-rated on a per class basis plus a $35.00 registration/administrative fee (per class).

Cancellation: MTC reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient registration. Tuition will be refunded for any classes that are canceled by MTC. Teachers may be substituted without prior notice for those listed.

Photo/Video: If you do not wish for your child to be in a videotape or photo that may be released to the public for advertising or publicity purposes, you must notify us in writing at the time of registration.

Instructor Substitution: MTC reserves the right to substitute an instructor temporarily or permanently without prior notification.

Money Matters

Payment Schedule: Tuition is due at time of registration for all classes. There is a two payment plan for semester classes ($25 fee due at time of registration) or a four payment plan for annual classes ($50 fee due at time of registration).

Financial Aid: Limited financial aid is available for the family in special economic circumstances. Please call the office to request an application if needed. Deadline for applications to be received for classes is approximately two weeks before the semester begins - the application form lists actual deadlines. You will be required to submit your most recent tax form as part of the application process.

Receipts/Proof of Payment: Your canceled check, charge card statement, or cash receipt is your proof of payment. Additional documentation, not requested at time of payment, will require a $35.00 administrative fee.

Returned Checks: There will be a $35 fee charged to you for any check, regardless of amount, that is returned by your bank.

Absences/Make-Ups: MTC does not provide make-ups for missed classes, nor are there refunds.

Discounts: We offer a Professional, Teacher, and Senior Citizen Discount. Classes with a drop-in fee are available at a discount for professional dancers, dance instructors, and senior citizens (seniors, 62 and older). The discount is two dollars less than the regular drop-in fee. The drop-in fee for a one (1) hour class is $17.00 per class.

Dance Cards for "Drop-in" Classes: MTC also offers class cards for the classes allowing a drop-in attendance, on a space-available basis. Class cards are good for ten classes. Cards may be purchased at at front desk.
